HEI was selected by the Illinois Department of Transportation - District 4 to provide preliminary engineering services including preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for the IL Route 336 project which is commonly known as the Northwest Macomb Bypass.  This project extends IL 336 approximately 6.0 miles around the northwest side of Macomb and intersect US 67 approximately 2.0 miles north of Macomb.  The project is being constructed as an access-controlled expressway. The major components of the project include 6.0 miles of full depth pavement, 2 expressway interchanges, 15 new structures and an extensive grading plan including over 3,000,000 cubic yards of earth excavation.
