HEI provided boundary and topographical surveying, permitting, design engineering and construction testing services for the development of a 136-acre site used for a new handling grain facility. Improvements included site development, utility extensions, widening IL Route 267 and adding traffic signals to the Comfort Drive intersection for the Village of South Jacksonville, for a grain facility with 2 million a bushel of storage and 6,500-feet of loop track connecting to the Kansas City Southern Railroad to the site.
This project required a substantial amount of coordination with IDOT, the Village of South Jacksonville, and Bartlett Grain due to the funding and jurisdiction.
