Bartlett Grain Company, L.P.

HEI provided boundary and topographical surveying, permitting, design engineering and construction testing services for the development of a 136-acre site used for a new handling grain facility. Improvements included site development, utility extensions, widening IL Route 267 and adding traffic signals to the Comfort Drive intersection for the Village of South Jacksonville, for a grain facility with 2 million a bushel of storage and 6,500-feet of loop track connecting to the Kansas City Southern Railroad to the site.

This project required a substantial amount of coordination with IDOT, the Village of South Jacksonville, and Bartlett Grain due to the funding and jurisdiction.

HEI provided design, construction observation and testing services for the high school addition project at the existing Knoxville High School site. This project consisted of demolition of much of the existing high school building and infrastructure, and construction of a completely new structure including classrooms, gym, and auditorium. Site grading, new pavement, curb & gutter, storm sewer, water main, sanitary sewer, drainage design, storm water detention, sidewalk, and handicap accessible ramps. Coordination with the school district, architect, construction contractor, utility companies, City of Knoxville, IEPA and IDOT was critical to ensure that the project followed schedule, scope and budget.
