HEI was selected by Woodford County to provide preliminary engineering services including preparation of a project development report, plans, specifications and estimates for the reconstruction and realignment of CH 1 and CH 11 in Woodford County from CH 2 to IL. Rte. 89. This 1.5-mile reconstruction project consisted of a new horizontal and vertical alignment with 12” aggregate base course, 6” HMA pavement, aggregate shoulders, culverts and other collateral improvements. Due to the use of federal funding, the HEI staff had to coordinate with IDOT to produce PS&E for a state letting.

HEI was selected by the City of Washington to provide preliminary and construction engineering services including preparation of plans, specifications, estimates and full construction oversight for the construction of a recreational trail along Cruger Rd.

HEI was selected by Peoria County to provide construction engineering services for the reconstruction of ½ mile of Old Galena Road, and 1000 FT of Cedar Hills Dr. This project consisted of pavement removal, storm sewer installation, 5 lanes of PCC jointed pavement, curb and gutter, medians, full depth asphalt and new traffic signals. Communication with the adjacent Caterpillar facilities was critical as construction activities and evolving traffic patterns affected their employees daily.

HEI was selected by the LaSalle County Highway Department to provide preliminary engineering services for the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) project at the intersection of CH 15 and CH 4 north of Marseilles.

HEI was selected by the Illinois Department of Transportation - District 6 to provide design engineering services to expand this complex three mile three-lane urban section to a five-lane urban section with shoulders to accommodate bicycle lanes.
